GM Employee Discount
You must provide an authorization number to the dealer at the time of vehicle delivery to receive your offer.
If a customer fails security questions the authorization number will be mailed directly to the address on file within 2 business days, the first business day starts the day after the request has been made.
If an authorization number is simply requested by phone, the authorization number will be mailed within 3-5 business days, the first business day starts the day after the request has been made.
Who is eligible for the GM Employee Discount?
- Active and Retired GM and GM Financial employees
- Former hourly or salaried GM employees
- Widows and widowers of former GM employees
Former hourly or salaried GM employees:
- With 5-20 cumulative years of service – are eligible for the discount and can sponsor the following purchasers; their spouse and dependent children. (Children must be under 21 years of age or full-time students under 25 years of age at time of purchase.)
- With 20+ cumulative years of service – are eligible for the discount and can sponsor the following purchasers; their spouse, children, stepchildren, grandchildren, stepgrandchildren, grandparents (including in-law and step), parents, stepparents, siblings (including full, half and step), mother-/father-in-law, sons-/daughters-in-law, brothers-/sisters-in-law, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Widows and widowers of former GM employees:
- With 5-20 cumulative years of service – are eligible for the discount and can sponsor the following purchasers; their spouse and dependent children. (Children must be under 21 years of age or full-time students under 25 years of age at time of purchase.)

GM Family Legacy
The Family Legacy Program gives eligible children of retired GM employees who no longer qualify for the GM Employee Discount the opportunity to purchase or lease up to two eligible, new Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicles each year at the GM Employee Discount price. Plus, you can combine the GM Employee Discount with most current offers for an even better deal.
GM Supplier Discount
You move us forward. And that deserves something special. As an eligible employee of a GM supplier company or sponsored spouse, you’ve earned the GM Supplier Discount. It gives you a special discount below MSRP on eligible, new Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac vehicles. Combine your discount with most current offers to save even more.
First Responder Appreciation
The GM First Responder Appreciation program is about showing gratitude for those who are always first. It allows first responders including firefighters, police including police officers, sheriffs, sheriff’s deputies, correctional officers, state troopers and federal law enforcement officers; EMTs/paramedics and 911 dispatchers and their sponsored spouse* to get a special offer on the purchase or lease of select new Chevrolet, Buick, GMC or Cadillac vehicles.
